Next is Instagram. This site attracts 26 percent of adult Internet users and 21 percent of the entire adult population. About 53 percent of young adults who are between 18 and 29 years old use the service; women are particularly likely to use it as well as Hispanics, African-Americans and urban and suburban dwellers.
The fourth most popular social networking site is Pinterest. It appeals to 28 percent of Internet users and 22 percent of the entire population. Of the total number of people who use the site 42 percent are women who use the Internet; it is also popular among younger users.
The fifth most popular social networking site is LinkedIn. This site attracts about 28 percent of adults who use the Internet and 23 percent of the entire population. The majority of users is between the ages of 30 and 64, are college graduates and are people who belong to higher-income households.
